Handheld carbon dioxide meter

1. Overview of handheld carbon dioxide measuring instrument
A handheld carbon dioxide meter is an instrument used to measure the concentration of carbon dioxide in the air. It is portable and can be easily measured in different locations.

(1) Working principle
Some handheld carbon dioxide meters are analytical instruments based on dual-beam dual-wavelength non-spectroscopic infrared (NDIR) sensors, which provide accurate and rapid quantitative determination of carbon dioxide concentrations in public places, indoors and outdoors.

(2) Basic structure
It is usually composed of non-spectral infrared NDIR sensor, sampling pump and microprocessor, and some also have external high-precision digital temperature and humidity sensor.

2. Application field
Environmental monitoring
It can be used in continuous pollutant monitoring system (CEMS), which helps to detect air pollution and greenhouse effect, can carry out continuous real-time environmental monitoring and analysis, and can be used to detect carbon dioxide concentration in public places, indoor and outdoor.

Industrial field
It is widely used in petrochemical, electric power, environmental protection, water treatment, food, occupational safety and health and other fields. For example, in the food industry, it can be used to measure the carbon dioxide gas capacity and air content of carbonated beverages, and in the field of research and development and testing of gas appliances, the relevant detection equipment can detect the carbon dioxide concentration in the exhaust gas.

Other fields
Health and epidemic prevention systems can also play a role, such as air quality detection in some places.
