Dust production and hazards

Dust is an open, mixed source of pollution that enters the atmosphere due to dust on the ground driven by wind, human driven and other driven flyers. It is the main pollutant of atmospheric pollution. Dust can be generated in a variety of ways. Construction dust is generated on construction sites due to excavation and transportation, removal of construction waste, burning of asphalt, etc. The composition of dust consists of three components: fallout (particle size >100µm), drifting dust (particle size 10-100µm) and respirable particulate matter (particle size <10µm).   Because of its generally small particle size, dust tends to cover the surface of plant leaves when floating in the air, preventing photosynthesis from taking place. The dust also has a large specific surface area and, when contaminated, tends to attach large amounts of toxic substances (Cr, Hg, As, etc.).
